In-Home Care Services

Home care services can be very select and personal and every family has different needs.  

We offer companionship and accompaniment for your loved ones who live on their own . Companionship may range from home visits to daily phone calls, trips to the market, or activities at home and in the community. Our services are non-medical.  Please understand we DO NOT do houscleaning.  We clean and sanitize the areas we work in and always leave those areas clean and tidy.  If you would like we can refer to a cleaning service.

On-Demand Driving Service

One hour services, for errand running, picking up, dropping off within a 5 km radius of your home. Starts at $35.00  per hour GST Extra Book in advance.

Ongoing In Home Services

Caring for your loved one is important to us and we want to ensure they are supported with weekly in-home care. These packages can include more household management activities and regular check-ins including:

  • Home safety check when you are away
  • Pet Care such as kitty care and dog walking for seniors.
  • Appointment and medication management
  • House Sitting

Respite Services

Our respite care is any combination of services provided specifically for the purpose of giving relief to the family and/or caregivers of a dependent person. It can be a few hours to longer. It is important that caregivers take the time to attend to their own needs and Daughter for a Day is ready to step in and support your loved ones for time periods ranging from a few hours to a few days or longer.
Benefits of Respite Care:

  • Gives primary caregivers security knowing temporary relief is available to them when needed
  • Encourages self-care and strengthens family relationships
  • Delays or prevents placement of dependent person in an assisted living or long-term care facility
